In
this thing called life we run in to so many challenges on our journey
to purpose and destiny. Often times when you are trying to do anything
you run in to Opposition, a resistance or dissent, expressed in action
or argument, and Adversity which are difficulties, misfortune, trouble,
misery, and affliction. I have often found myself shrinking back in the
face of Opposition, and there are so many things that I vision my
self-doing but don’t because of Adversity. Nothing in life will be
accomplished without facing these two. It like a woman who is pregnant
and soon to give birth. She has becomes tired because of the weight of
the baby (purpose), it’s hard to breath, and it’s hard to walk because
sometimes her feet are swollen. She goes to through all that adversity
(trouble and misery) she is ready for this baby to come out. However,
although she has carried this baby through being tired, not wanting to
get up and walk, not wanting to do anything anymore. She still has to go
through labor and even that is a process that will break her down. She
has to go through the pain of contractions that stretch her,and after
all that she has had to endure , it’s still not over she still has to
PUSH!!!!! Sometimes when we resist, God has to cut it out (C-section),
and then and only then purpose is birthed out.
I encourage you to keep going no matter who’s there or not, who agrees
or not. There may a lot of people in your delivery room, but it’s still
you and the doctor or Midwife (God) doing the work of birthing your
purpose, and dreams. Keep walking, keep pushing in the face of
Opposition and Adversity. Opposition and Adversity will always be those
bullies that you have to stand up to. I am learning to keep walking no
matter how many times I want to run away and hide my face in a pillow
and cry. I’m learning to keep loving and forgiving not matter how
people hurt me, or when I find out they are not who I thought they were.
Life is too short to spend more than a sec. on things that are not
helping you birth out destiny. Pursue your dreams, and remember to keep
trying it doesn’t matter how many times you don’t succeed or how many
doors shut in your face. Keep going! You’re going to make it!! You’re
going to do it!! Remember everything is a process, and everything
happens in its time. Be encouraged, be encouraged.
